• Propane is nontoxic and can’t dissolve in water, so it’s not harmful to our ecosystems.
• Propane is a clean-burning fuel with low emissions—which means fewer greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere.
• Propane is listed as an approved alternative clean fuel in the 1990 Clean Air Act and the National Energy Policy Act of 1992.
• Propane doesn’t produce any significant acid rain contaminants. On the other hand, coal-burning plants that generate electricity emit sulfur dioxide, which causes acid rain.
• Propane is produced domestically and readily available.
